We tailor our single trip policies to your individual needs by taking into account exactly where you are travelling to. We have a diverse range of rates for countries across Europe rather than having one or two prices that fit all.
If you would prefer to speak to one of our insurance agents to discuss your trip in more detail, we can easily run through different destinations to show how this may affect the cost of your travel insurance. We can offer policies to cover trips of up to 365 days depending on age and will take into account the exact number of days you are travelling.
Our specialist travel insurance policies are designed to cover a range of pre-existing medical conditions including all forms of cancer, hearts conditions, mental health conditions and strokes. Cover can be obtained online or via our UK based contact centre. Our travel insurance agents are knowledgeable, friendly and experienced at dealing with travel insurance cover for serious pre-existing medical conditions.

A single trip policy can be more flexible in offering the right cover that you require. We offer three levels of cancellation cover between £1,500 and £10,000 so you can select the amount required for your individual single trip and only ever pay for the cover you really need. It is important to cover all travellers going on the trip as this way everyone is covered for cancellation up to the policy limit if one traveller is required to cancel on medical grounds.
Once you have booked your holiday it’s a good idea to get your travel insurance in place. The cancellation benefit of our policy starts from the time you buy insurance, so the sooner you go on cover, the sooner your money is protected.
You can add additional cover to your single trip travel insurance for cruising and winter sports activities. If you have an existing policy and need to add additional cover as this was missed during your quote, or your travel plans have changed, give us a call and we'll do our best to accommodate your request.
"Excellent company and great service. I have used Freedom for many years. Peace of mind that we are covered for medical conditions and can enjoy our holiday. Very easy to use, online quotes and staff on the phones are very helpful, thanks."
Trusted Customer
You can apply here online or over the telephone; it’s quick, simple and totally confidential. To provide you with a quote, you’ll need to let us know where you are travelling to, and for how long. Make sure to declare all your pre-existing medical conditions for all travellers.
You will be guided through a medical screening questionnaire, where a series of relevant questions will be asked to assess your health and each individual condition. These questions should be answered accurately and to the best of your knowledge.
You will then be presented with available policy options, which include cover for declared medical conditions as well as cover for cancellation, baggage, personal accident and lots more.

When to purchase single trip insurance
You should purchase your policy once you have booked your holiday, you will then be covered for cancellation cover from the purchase date
Cover your whole trip
You need to cover your whole trip, taking into account the day that you arrive back in the UK
Destination
As insurance costs will vary depending on destination, we have devised multiple areas of travel with different rates, meaning we can offer a fairer price for your trip
Our policies are available to you if you are permanently resident in the United Kingdom (UK) and registered with a general practitioner (GP) in the UK. There is no cover available to residents of the Channel Islands or IOM.
As we operate an on-going medical warranty, you will need to inform us of any health changes that occur between your quotation/purchase date and the date of travel. We may be required to ask additional questions to ensure your travel insurance is up to date and fully covering you for the trip.
We use a medical risk assessment tool to enable us to provide you with a quote. You will be asked a number of questions about your medical status. From the information provided we will base our quotes on your health status.
